Why Covid-19 Vaccination Planning Can Save Your Life and Many Others

I was just reading about the huge craters opening up in the Arctic that are the result of methane gas explosions. Melting permafrost creates the release of methane which increases global warming which melts the permafrost even more. More methane is released which continues to melt permafrost and increase global warming. We are witnessing the results with our weather on an almost daily basis. This crisis will be getting worse and will have real impacts on everyone’s quality of life.

Of course you actually have to live long enough to be severely impacted by global warming. And right now the Covid 19 pandemic can not only cut your life short, but even if you live, create unknown and ongoing issues the rest of your life. This is why our Logic Based Health meeting on September 23 will be on the latest information on Covid 19 vaccines. It is urgent that we understand the different treatments (do they create antibodies and/or T-cells to fight the virus?) It is urgent for us to get as many people as possible to trust and accept the vaccine(s) that are available. It is unbelievable how many people in the alternative medicine community foster distrust and sow distrust about vaccines. I actually got an e-mail last week praising the fact that the percentage of people saying they will get a Covid vaccine is declining. And it is not just inside the alternative medicine community. It is widespread. The anti-vax movement is large and well organized whereas the health advocacy groups at the state and local level are underfunded and overwhelmed. This is important because the more of us that are vaccinated, the safer we are.

Just think of Jacob Serrano, the 23 year old that recently became the first American to trial the Oxford University AstraZeneca vaccine. He is not concerned about trying the vaccine early or any potential side effects. Why? Because he has had seven family members die of Covid 19. Jacob is fighting back against the disease that has ravaged his family. We can also fight back by advocating vaccine usage and learning about the different approaches that are being trialed to help prevent and treat the disease. I have signed up to volunteer for a vaccine trial and hope to be selected. Sure, there are risks to being an early adopter. But I am not sitting back, I am fighting back. And I will work to educate as many people as I can about the benefits of vaccination and how to create an action plan to keep informed and to get the right treatment as early as possible. Our lives and our quality of life may depend on it.
